Community Reviews

Nice to look at

They can't keep their director of nurses. They have gone through at least 6 in a 3 year time period. From what some staff members say they KEEPa staff member that causes the others to quit. It is a beautiful facility with seemingly caring individuals but it seems they care more about the appearance of the place more than anything else. The caregivers and housekeeping staff are very warm and friendly but the office staff seems very rigid and unaccommodating.

Great quality of care!

This community is really nice and so are the staff. i also like that the residents are more on my mother in laws level. She would be able to have people to sit and talk with at meals. I also like that they have a lot of activities. I saw that they were certified.

Both good and bad

My late mother was a resident of the Willows at Meadow Branch (The Willows) from 1/15-12/17. Overall her care was adequate however "The Willows" has problems with retaining competent and experienced staff. They employ primarily young high school educated females and do not pay them well, as the STAFF IS CONSTANTLY changing. Also, several times during my mother's almost three year stay the facility THEY DID NOT HAVE AN R.N employed as is apparently required by State Law. The food served consisted of primarily reheated frozen prepared meals, not the best for the average senior citizen. The Willows spends quite a bit on advertising on local T.V. They have apparently made the decision to spend their money on extensive advertising to insure a constant supply of "residents" rather than on employee compensation sufficient to ensure staff retention. This management approach is results in a constant staff turnover....they have apparently decided to pursue this approach as there is a ready supply of young 18-24 year old high school educated females ready to fill these low skilled positions. On the positive side the facility was was always very clean and the grounds were kept well-maintained. My mother was generally very happy at the Willows during her final years.

They didn't wear masks during the tour, and has railroad tracks near the community.

Understaffed

I just think that they need more staffing. Pretty much they have two people looking over eighteen residents, and I think that is expecting too much of the staff. They just need to spend more time with the residents.
