They saved my mom
reviewed on: 04/09/2019 by Barbara S.Everything at The Chateau at Bothell Landing exceeds our expectations. We learned about the Chateau when we went to a function at the Northshore Senior Center with our mom. At first I read the old reviews on this site and was hesitant because of the negative things people said. But I am smarter than that and decided to check into it for myself. Plus, those reviews were a few years old. I found out that they only had 2 dings from survey and that their Nursing and Food Department had zero dings and had excelled in many areas above the other Assisted Living communities in the area. We took our time and toured places in Bothell and in Woodinville. We ate lunch, talked to family members and current residents and were invited to attend an activity or come back for a meal on our own at any time which we did. In comparison to the other retirement communities in the area, this one stands above all others. My mom moved in and after 6 months at Chateau I am still blown away by everything they do on a daily basis for the residents and family members. Every employee from housekeeping to food service to maintenance and fitness is held to a standard one would hope for. The are truly dedicated to their careers. The management team is so kind, professional, informed and responsive to any and all needs. They have such positive energy. The director has been there for over 3 years and only hires people who want to be held to a higher standard. It is truly a team. If you put in a work order, it is done. If you have a special meal request, it is handled like a real restaurant with customer service as the key. Housekeeping is done on time and if you need extra help they are sensitive. The gals in the Marketing department worked together and met us at different times to put our concerns to rest and help us see that the ugly reviews are wrong. They helped us in ways that no other community did. They were honest and professional and very well educated. The people at the Senior Center told us about Chateau and gave us the Marketing Directors names. They work together so you don't worry about when you are calling. They both knew what is going on with my mom and made it very smooth for us. They took the stress out of the move by preparing us and my mom for the move. Maybe those reviews were right in years past, but not now. The nurses are wonderful. I don't know where they found these people and put them together as a team, but they are so great. They don't have any dings from the state because they are so very careful and make sure people understand what to expect. They watch out for people and see if there are changes in their health that would be concerning. One day my mom said something concerning to an employee. It wasn't "what" my mom said, but it was "how" she said it. She apparently slurred her words. The employee who was not in nursing immediately told the nurse in charge. The nurse assessed my mom right away and had 911 take her to the ER. It turned out she was having a stroke. She received needed medication to help stop the problems the stroke could have caused. They care about their residents and I am so thankful for everything they do. The staff at Chateau at Bothell Landing work together to make sure residents, family members, friends, etc... are informed and cared for. We are so happy we chose Chateau at Bothell Landing. It means the world to us to have my mom in such a great place. When we go on vacation we are at ease. We know she is well cared for and that she is happy. I don't feel like my mom is in a place for "old people". The people who live their have fun and it shows in all that they do.

reviewed on: 07/26/2013 by KarenThey're fantastic - the facility is more modernistic but the decor is incredible. It's right across the street from the Bothell Senior Center (there's a pancake breakfast every Saturday morning) and it's 3 blocks from downtown Bothell. The only thing that kept us from moving in here was that they didn't have an opening until December. They have an internal transfer service that gives people who already live in a sister community priority for rooms in any other community there.
