made us feel welcome
reviewed on: 09/03/2015 by AnonymousAt Petersburg Home For Ladies they are very friendly. They made us feel welcome when she moved in. The only thing we had a problem was with nursing at one point. She did have high blood pressure and had to go to the hospital and I asked her if anyone had one had checked it, she said no they hadn't. So I am not sure if the nursing is up to par. But the facility is clean, the staff is helpful. If you have a problem they are quick to get it resolved. I am very happy with this facility.

reviewed on: 05/15/2014 by AnonymousAbsolutely first class. The tour was leisurely and thorough; everything was beautiful & clean. I met and liked the activities director as well. This would be a great choice for my mother if she was more social and mobile, (and we are working on those things!)
Huge turn around for mom
reviewed on: 10/24/2013 by DaughterThis is my first experience with assisted living as far as Alzheimers and from the various places I visited, this is by far the best place I saw, even halfway done you could see it was better. They have been great, there's only 9 patients on that wing right now, they're doing a good job. There's some issues, but i think that's with any facility, but they address it, they're very responsive and fix them quickly. They have been really wonderful to work with. I know my mother, when we took her there she wasn't doing anything but sitting in a chair watching tv, she hadn't taken a shower in 10 years (she was getting sponge baths) and they've gotten her in the shower; she has a walker but wouldn't use it and now she's walking around with it, she loves the food, shes a good cook so thats a big statement for her to make, they've got them doing puzzles and crafts which she never does, shes sort of like the den mother keeping them all together. It's been a big turn around for her and such an improvement in her quality of life. I also like that the staff wears white, it gives it more of a professional feel so you know who the staff is because a lot of times they're just wearing regular clothes with name tags so you're not sure who works there.
