Good place
reviewed on: 05/17/2021 by Joseph CThe respect and the tour, as well as the requirements that were explained to me, the positive, honest information and respect towards the customer is why I rated Hidenwood so highly.
Wonderful community for our parents
reviewed on: 04/17/2020 by Ed FeldhousenThe Hidenwood has been has been a wonderful community for our parents. They chose The Hidenwood after years of research and careful consideration, and it has turned out to be a great choice. Everyone is so friendly and supportive, both residents and staff. The nursing, front desk, and dining room staff are always kind and do the best for the residents. The staff reaches out to us when needed, and always available to answer our questions. Especially during the current Covid-19 situation, they have been great about keeping families informed. We really appreciate the high level of care and caution they are providing during this time.
Very happy, feels apart of the community
reviewed on: 08/09/2021 by Charles SThe friendliness of the staff members really stood out to us, also no matter the level of care our loved one may need she will never have to move communities. The resident can age in place there which we really loved.
The Hidenwood is the place to be
reviewed on: 08/29/2019 by Sherri2 months ago I got the call that my brother was in the hospital and not doing well. I live out of town, so when I got the news and learned from his doctor that he was going to be transferred from the hospital to a rehab facility for 20 days, I knew I had to act quickly to find him a home. Not knowing what to do or who to call about our next steps, I went straight to Google for an interim location. I knew NOTHING about ALF, but somehow I started a Google search on them. I read several reviews on other facilities but was most impressed with what people had to say about The Hidenwood, I called them up because it seemed to me like the place to be. Talk about friendly! From our initial phone conversation, ZsaVonne Perryman, (Director of Marketing and Community Relations at the Hidenwood) was so patient with me and all my questions. She asked what led me to the Hidenwood, and I told her it was honestly all the positive reviews I read. She understood that what she was telling me was a lot to process. Long story short, the same warmth I felt from our initial phone conversation, I felt during my walk through of the facility. David Joyce (Executive Director) gave me a tour of the whole facility and we gelled right away, too. We shared experiences about Northern VA traffic. From the moment you walk through the doors, whether a resident or staff, everyone is so friendly! The facility is gorgeous, the food is on point. The receptionist (Barbara) that welcomed us the night we checked in said "he is going to like it here once he gets used to it. This is his new home now". She was absolutely right. It took my brother less than a week to get used to his new home! My brother LOVES the food, the activities (he especially loves to play bingo) and the nightly movies. My brother and I are grateful to all the staff for making us feel so welcome during his brief stay there. Thank you all so much for everything you do. Congrats to you for providing such a great atmosphere for people to call home. You all are an absolute blessing.
