Community Reviews
good for the most part
reviewed on: 06/01/2015 by AnonymousMost of what I have seen about Commonwealth Assisted Living at Hampton has been good, but there is some area for improvement. I really like the facility. It is very nice, warm, welcoming, and well kept. The food sometimes is not as warm as it should be when it comes out. The rooms are well kept for the most part. They can be a little slow answering the buzzer when I come to visit. Sometimes I can be standing outside waiting for twenty minutes or more. Most of the staff is very good, but then there are others that need to step up their game.
A Bright and Active Place
reviewed on: 10/07/2016 by AnonymousI feel that my mom is getting the right care and is safe at this community. They do a good job cleaning the place. The staff are very friendly and I sense that they care about the residents. I like all the people and they know everyone's first name. They have activities to keep them busy, like bible study. Once a month they have a family night with dinner and activities. It is a brightly lit with people walking around. This place is wonderful.
Every time I’ve been there it looked good.
reviewed on: 04/22/2014 by AnonymousPrice wise they are comparative, no others would be better. What they do and what they say they’re going to do are not the same things. I thought the food was good. Every time I’ve been there it looked good. There is an enclosed sun room and when the weather is nice they can go out into the court yard. It’s a real good idea to visit frequently and at different times and to always let the staff know or administration writing know when there are issues and they seem to try to take care of them promptly.
Our Tour Experience
reviewed on: 11/16/2021 by anonymousOur tour at Commonwealth Senior Living of Hampton was really good. The folks we talked to were very helpful and knowledgeable. They gave off a more friendly, laid back, fun vibe than another place we looked at.
Completely Investigate other facilities in the area before deciding.
reviewed on: 11/10/2018 by JerryCommonwealth Sr Living has very friendly staff members who seem to try to do the best they can. As with any other health care facilities, it is only as good as the worst staff member and keeping good caring nursing aides is hard to do. CSL could improve their services by taking away the cell phones that are carried by the nursing staff as they seem to be spending way too much time on them and not on the residents. The floors and common areas could use more deep cleaning and the staff could use more training in making beds, cleaning the residents and administering medications. The food is good considering they are cooking for a wide array of diets and preferences. The fees are better than other facilities and the building has a warm welcoming atmosphere.
