Community Reviews
Responsive, attentive staff!
reviewed on: 03/03/2016 by AnonymousI moved my mother to The Hermitage from a different community. Things are going great here, she is doing really well. I like it very much. The staff is very attentive and responsive, my mother falls often and they are quick to assist her. Everyone is nice. The head nurse on her floor is delightful. The food is great, she had lost weight before coming to The Hermitage and she has been eating better there. There are a lot of activities. She is in the skilled nursing area, but we are able to take her to other areas so she is able to participate in all sorts of activities the different areas have. There are good musicians who come in and play guitar. There is a hair salon. She usually eats in her area of the community but we sometimes take her to the main dining room that is more formal and it is a little treat for her.
Wonderful place!
reviewed on: 01/23/2015 by AnonymousEverything at The Hermitage has been fantastic so far. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, and were right there for us throughout the whole sales and move-in process. The facility itself is clean and well kept, and the room they had available was just right for the loved ones that we were searching for. They even do a great job with the food! I would give them top marks across the board, it really has been a great experience!

I have been very pleased, the people are really happy and friendly, and very helpful.
reviewed on: 03/25/2014 by Loved OneI have been very pleased, the people are really happy and friendly, and very helpful. She gets more attention than I expected, especially considering she is still in independent living. Some of the caregivers will come and help her get to the activities and meals. The activities director is very responsive and willing to personalize some of the activities. The buddy system they promised never materialized. Some of the meal requests have not been done, even though they said they could, things like helping to make sure she can see and understand her choices at meal times. She keeps saying I don't know how they found so many nice people to work in one place. I have found the staff to be very genuine. They told me they have the same number of staff on the weekends and nights, and it does seem to be the case. I like the fact that it's a non-profit organization, it doesn't feel like a business. Another new resident's family looked at seven places and when they walked in they knew right away, and that made me feel good. Everyone seems to know her name, and I love that.
