A Place for Mom
reviewed on: 07/28/2013 by Carolyn J.I was most impressed with the connection to Garden Estates. It was recommended by "A Place for Mom" and by a personal friend. I met first with Judy. She showed me around and explained the services provided. She was most informative and personable. We set up an appointment to bring my mother. The visitation with my mother was "Just Lunch." She got to eat lunch and have a tour of the facility. After my mother decided that this was for her, we scheduled another appointment to work out particulars.
It is a warm, cheerful place
reviewed on: 04/17/2014 by D. L.When my mom & stepdad began searching for assisted living, they heard good things about Garden Estates of Temple from friends who had relatives in this facility. So they toured it, and later brought some of us kids to see it as well. We were impressed with what we saw and heard, so our parents got on the waiting list. They have lived here in assisted living for over a year now. They enjoy the three meals a day, weekly housekeeping and other amenities of assisted living. It is close to their former neighborhood so friends can still visit them, and it's close to the hospitals that they have gone to for years. They have made friends here, and it's a cheerful place for relatives and friends to visit. The staff is wonderful, and each takes their job seriously. They leave no doubt in my mind that my parents and all the residents are given the best of care. The nurses and aides are caring, the dining room staff and chef are top-notch, housekeeping and maintenance do a super job, and the adminstrative staff are always ready to answer questions and help in any way. I would recommend Garden Estates of Temple to anyone needing assisted living. It is a warm, cheerful place.
Lifestyle with a Flair
reviewed on: 03/04/2017 by KCRPet Friendly, very well maintained. Staff is well trained and very friendly. Rooms are well laid out but small for rent charged and have little storage areas. Only drawbacks that I can see are that only cable service is offered instead of Comcast, Dish or Direct TV. One community computer but no printer for residents. Heating and Cooling room units are noisy and leave hot and cold spots in room. The Activities planned by the staff keep the interests of the residents involved and excited about being involved. This is probably one of the premiere senior communities in Temple and is very homey.

Our mother/mother-in-law is very pleased with her accomodations, and treatment by management and staff. Victoria Bryant and Judy Grayson have been a real pleasure to work with, and the staff is friendly, alert, and comforting. We have recommended the facility to several people.
A great place for mom

The value for the money is amazing, the food is great quality, they have lots of fun activities, and the place is just exceptional. The director is magnificent and keeps families very updated with weekly emails. The staff is super friendly. It has been a great experience and I would absolutely recommend to others.
