Enjoying Life

reviewed on: 10/05/2020 by Barney

My wife & I moved to a large villa at Brightwater five years ago to live closer to our daughter. The location of our villa was great, close to the elevator and a view of the pool & palm trees. The atmosphere is friendly, and we got to know everyone. We were interested in the various levels of care that would be available to us. My wife passed away and I chose to move to a smaller villa and everything is pleasant. Brightwater has a sociable environment with activities & dining. I enjoy my new life with a special lady and the comradery of other veterans and friends.

No regrets

I moved to Brightwater in 2012 and have not looked back or regretted my decision to live here in the Brightwater community. There is something here for everyone. I was looking for an active community- one that I could be a part of and enjoy my retirement to the fullest. For me it is keeping active and the Wellness staff is top notch. The monthly schedules are filled with exercise classes (nothing like getting a good work-out along with other members) to share pleasure of laughing and groaning and feeling better when the day is done- just to start it all over again the next day with different classes. By the end of each week form your fingers to your toes, you feel wonderful. If you also want to work-out on the equipment in the gym and you are not familiar with the equipment or what equipment to use to get the results you are looking for in your work-outs- the staff has Supervised Gym Time to assist you. And if you enjoy exercising in the pools (in-door and out) you will not be disappointed.

Completely Happy Living at Brightwater & Thankful to be Alive!

I am completely Happy living at Brightwater & Thankful to be Alive! Brightwater makes it possible for you to have the level of care you need and still stay close to each other. My wife needed nursing care and had been at Brightwater for several months. I moved into an independent villa at Brightwater in February of 2013, so I could be close to her and we could spend as much time together as possible. Our daughter also wanted to make sure that I was eating properly, and the food is excellent. I like getting to know everyone and they know me. I used to drive myself everywhere and now it is nice to have a Driver take me where I need to go. Genesis therapy, Live Long Well Care and the Rejuvenate Salon are on site and that makes it very convenient. Brightwater’s location is great & we do not need to evacuate, and this is very important to me. We have been kept safe during COVID19. I enjoy going to the Brightwater Chapel service on Sunday mornings and then I can watch my Sunday School class online too. I am a World War II veteran and I am Thankful to be Alive!

Luxury Cruise Ship on Land

reviewed on: 02/04/2015 by Tim Gertsmeyer

My wife and I moved to Brightwater October 1, 2014 and it is more than we had hoped it would be. There are many amenities, a very friendly and helpful staff and happy content residents. The Social Calendar and Wellness Center is full of activities everyday in which you can participate. I describe Brightwater as a “Luxury Cruise Ship on land.” We like to travel and not owning a home gives us the freedom that we need without the home owning responsibility. Our children live in NJ and Australia and they don’t have to worry about us and we won’t burden them with our care. Our lawyer daughter-in-law in AU thanked us for taking charge of our lives so they don’t have to worry about us. We love the lifestyle that Brightwater affords us to have! Their slogan says it all - Live Long - Live Well - Live!

Our opinion of the Brightwater community

Brightwater is a first class community! We were wonderfully informed about all that is available to us there by Melinda and Alice who are wonderful ambassadors for Brightwater. Every aspect of senior living has been well thought out and provided.
