Community Reviews
It was really impressive, they do super work there.
reviewed on: 05/13/2014 by Family MemberIt's gorgeous, it's only five and half years old. It was really impressive, they do super work there. It was clean and for the most part everyone was very friendly. They really did a great job. This is definitely a different picture than what nursing homes have traditionally been thought of as.
No Available Apartment At The Time
reviewed on: 01/11/2017 by AnonymousIt was a good experience and they were very friendly. I was very interested but there was no opening right away. I really wanted to move him in there but the other option was to share a room and that was not going to happen. It is a beautiful facility and a little more upscale and the same pricing as other similar communitites
Compassionate and caring when your love one needs it most
reviewed on: 10/01/2020 by AnonymousThe activities are great, before COVID they have bible studies, church groups come in to sing, and other live entertainment. We really liked how friendly the staff was, everything is on one level so its very convenient. The food could use some improvements, the quality could be a little better.
Took some time to sort out billing, but good caregivers
reviewed on: 10/03/2013 by JohnI call Kristin, the district manager I guess, and she never calls back. When we started out she found a new girl, she worked in a hamburger joint but had her CNA, brand new I guess, we got her and she was a very pleasant little girl but they offered her some kind of manager position at the hamburger joint. So then we got a girl whose been taking care of a woman upstate, Jean is her name and Jean is a terrific woman, she has a lot of experience. We weren't sure about some scheduling and pay checks, we agreed to do it by month but she misunderstood that so she sent the whole shmear down to me from the beginning. I finally called district headquarters, I called Atlanta and they said "no problem, we'll send you a monthly bill" so just little things all added up. The biggest disappointment was that little girl going and reliability and the question of the billing; there wasn't any doubt it would all get sorted out but I don't have time to do all of that.
A place with dignity
reviewed on: 03/03/2014 by FrankieMy father is a very difficult person to place. His dementia has taken very strange directions. I had to place him in a memory care unit. Ashlan Village walked with me through these tough decisions and times. Their director, Bob, has such a great demeanor. As for the care givers, I tip my hat to all of them. They always smile and have pleasant things to say (even though I know how my father really is). I believe this is an exceptional care facility.
