Great place for loved ones!
reviewed on: 07/07/2017 by AnonymousMy mom lives at Carolina Gardens Lexington. She has adjusted really well. The staff is excellent and the location is perfect for her family. Pruitt Health took over this facility in March and have seen much improvement with grounds and an inside facelift. Improvements also have been made with meals but could still use a little more variety in diet selections. Highly recommend this facility and care for your loved ones.
I would absolutely put my mom here again
reviewed on: 09/21/2020 by Lee HangerCarolina Gardens is a nice facility, they are taking great care of my mom. We are having a little situation with the staffing ever since the virus hit. I am feeling like there is not enough staff. They are all very nice, when I would visit my mom before COVID I would stay in her room. They are very accommodating and the food is very good. Overall, it is a great facility. I would absolutely put my mom here again.
Overall we are pleased, but the communication needs improvement.
reviewed on: 05/22/2014 by Family MemberOverall, we are pleased with the care our mother is now receiving. However, we got off to a slow start with communication. We moved our mother in on a weekend, and there was limited staff to answer our questions and help get our mother settled and oriented in her new "home". An information/welcome packet with information about meal times, TV channel listings, instructions on how to use the telephone (i.e., dial "9" to get an outside line), a diagram of rooms in relationship to cafeteria, hair salon, etc. would have been very helpful. Some important things should have already been set up prior to moving day, such as, a bath schedule, the medication schedule, laundry procedures, and other specific care needs. Phone calls prior to the move as well as on moving day were not returned in a timely manner. Cross-training some of the staff members so they could be present to answer questions and assist with move-ins would be helpful. This facility seems to be very unorganized with the initial move-in stuff. We had asked about some of these things ahead of time and thought we were ready. In addition, the facility's doctor gave our mom an initial examination and discovered some health concerns, but never called to discuss her findings with any of us. We have had to do all the follow-ups with the facility to find out details of our mother's health. I would give them an A- on caregiving and a D on communication.
"Peace of Mind!"
reviewed on: 02/02/2016 by Sharie CatoThe ENTIRE staff has been extremely helpful and supportive since we first walked in the door. I truly feel "peace of mind" knowing that my parents are well taken care of by the staff. Both of my parents have enjoyed the variety of meals prepared in the dining room. The administrator, Jeremy Priddy, has been a "rock" for me during this emotional transition and has been genuinely compassionate and caring to my parents.
Community Being Remolded, but A Tour Went Well
reviewed on: 08/02/2017 by AnonymousI toured this community for my mother, and her needs. My tour went pretty well. The community was in the process of being remolded. I did feel the community was a little dated. However the staff I met was kind, and friendly. I did feel this would had a good choice for my mother. and her needs. It was a good experience.
