Rooms were bigger but the same as Lower Makefield as to cost.

My parents are doing alright at this community!!

My parents do not really like the food at The Chelsea. They only offer a few selections to choose from. I have good communication with the staff and they are helpful. They offer a variety of activities. I would recommend this clean community.

The staff is good.

I like The Chelsea but I think they can improve when it comes to communication. The staff is good. I was satisfied in the beginning, but we had a several scary incidents. There are communication issues. There have been a few mix ups and they need to get a better system for medication management. It is very clean and sanitary. When we call now to check in, we detect a little frustration with us, it feels like they have lost their patience with us, it's different now. The staff is very pleasant. The administration seems to be where the issue is. We don't have the security that we had before, we used to feel very safe with her there. I think they are suitable, I've seen improvements. They have music and singing and painting and are always doing things. They do have doctors and nurses on staff twenty four hours. It's not the cheapest facility that she could be in and I don't think it's the most expensive either. For the amount of money you are paying monthly I think there could be a lot of improvements. I was looking for her safety security and well being, and her ability to be able to function in a place similar to home. At the beginning everything was good but as time goes on you can hear the impatience and irritability in the tone of their voice.

Treated like family.

While considering several places, we kept coming back to the Chelsea. The staff AND residents remembered us, were welcoming, happy and wanted my dad to make their place, his home. They are smaller than some of the competition but do not lack activities, in fact it is hard to find a day their calendar doesn't have multiple offerings. Would recommend!

I took my grandmother to have dinner there. I am pleased at how well kept the facility is. The Directors were excellent in giving tours and answering my questions. My grandmother liked the facility as well but says that she would really miss all of us at home. I'm still deciding. It is a very difficult decision, but The Chelsea is very high on my list.
