Review of Sweetbriar Villa, Springfield, OR
reviewed on: 03/05/2016 by AnonymousSweetbriar Villa is excellent. Very caring and conscientious staff. Lovely, intimate environment with an enclosed courtyard that was much appreciated. A fine piano in the small lobby, which was played daily by one of the residents. Other residents always gathered around her to sing. At 25-plus residents, it was the appropriate size for my mother-in-law - not too big, not too small. Situated near a pretty park in easy walking distance. We visited my mother-in-law regularly over a period of nearly two years, and we never found anything amiss. We were always called when staff had concerns and we participated in regular monthly care meetings. A particularly kind volunteer for Sweetbriar Villa, who had retired from care giving, spent many many hours sitting with my mother-in-law when she became less mobile and more confused. Our family always felt assured that my mother-in-law was being well taken care of.

reviewed on: 07/22/2019 by JudyThey take exceptional care of my mom who is wheelchair bound. They have numerous activities to keep the residence entertained. Games, beauty days, shopping trips, rides into the county, movies, crafts and they encourage residents to share their ideas. Mom called me 4-5 times a day before she moved in their and I hear from her once a day.
A good place for Mom
reviewed on: 10/07/2020 by DeborahClean, friendly, caring, well-run. Sweetbriar has been very diligent about resident health and well-being throughout the pandemic and wildfire evacuation. I wish that there were more staff and less turnover, but I realize what a hard industry this is to work in. The expense is also a concern. But I have been inside many facilities and this one is intimate and operates with an attitude of saying “yes” to residents whenever possible. The homey atmosphere and careful, personable management are big assets, as is the warmth of the staff.
Happy With The Care
reviewed on: 06/09/2016 by AnonymousThis community has staff that are on top of things and provide a very clean happy atmosphere. The staff are caring and nice, they help clean my mother-in-law's room and other necessities. The food seems fine. There are activities like bible class and exercising. So far my mother-in-law is doing good and our experience has been very great so I would recommend this community.
