Edgerton is a village in Williams County, Ohio, United States in the extreme northwest corner of the state. This area has long been known as the top of Ohio and was formerly a part of the Northwest Territory. St Joseph township was established in 1832, followed by the Village of Denmark. The Village of Edgerton is located in the southwest corner of Williams County and was incorporated on 4 December 1865. It was named for Alfred P. Edgerton, a landowner who donated land for a public square in what became the Village of Edgerton. That same public square is now known as Village Park. The population was 2,012 at the 2010 census.
