Community Reviews
They cared about mom
reviewed on: 03/28/2017 by AnonymousMy only issue with this community is they were a little one sided when it came to the hospice service we used. They wanted to use their service. The staff are caring, awesome and they will help you with whatever you need. Mom did like to participate in some of the daily activities and she liked the food. The community is nice and it was in a good location for us. They have a family atmosphere and I would recommend this community.
Outstanding Service
reviewed on: 03/25/2019 by Judy MintonI have been very remiss in reponding to your review and I apologize profusely. My experience with A Place for Mom and Marti Spignardi was fantastic. She is extremely knowledgeable, provided me with guidance beyond my expectations, and led me to an assisted living home that was a perfect fit for my friend that Im the power of attorney for. I could not have been nearly as prepared upon meeting with the staff of the facilities we visited without Marti’s assistance. Her positive attitude and personality is just what i needed to hear as i went through this process. Again, I sm so sorry for taking so long to respond. And thank you for having Marti on your staff.
Respite Becomes Permanent
reviewed on: 07/06/2013 by Anne H.I was looking for a place for a respite stay for my father while we were out-of-town. He had stayed a a different property once before but i was not completely happy with the accommodations and wanted to find someplace better with the possibility of it becoming permanent. A Place For Mom arranged for several different tours. The other places we toured were nice but quite large. When we walked through the doors at Sterling House it immediately felt right. Sterling House is a lovely small community. The staff is very personable and made my father feel very welcome and wanted. The customized care is exactly the kind of attention and spoiling my father needs. He likes Sterling House so much he has decided to stay!
My tour experience
reviewed on: 05/24/2021 by anonymousI had a virtual tour at Miller Farm Place. It's a medium sized facility, with a courtyard in the center and resident rooms on the exterior. Like another facility we looked at, it was one big circle, and I was worried my loved one would get confused. I felt like he needed a more direct, smaller place to go to. It was nice at Miller Farm, and I liked it, overall. The staff were fine. They were very friendly, but then everybody is friendly and happy when they want your money. There was nothing wrong that I saw here, I just never give anybody a perfect score since there's always room for improvement.
Good Tour, Informative

It was a pleasant experience. We wanted to tour this community just get some information on what assisted living is like.
