Respite Becomes Permanent
reviewed on: 07/06/2013 by Anne H.I was looking for a place for a respite stay for my father while we were out-of-town. He had stayed a a different property once before but i was not completely happy with the accommodations and wanted to find someplace better with the possibility of it becoming permanent. A Place For Mom arranged for several different tours. The other places we toured were nice but quite large. When we walked through the doors at Sterling House it immediately felt right. Sterling House is a lovely small community. The staff is very personable and made my father feel very welcome and wanted. The customized care is exactly the kind of attention and spoiling my father needs. He likes Sterling House so much he has decided to stay!
They are doing a great job.
reviewed on: 06/23/2014 by JoeThey are doing a great job. It's very, very, clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I just think they need more staff. The people that are there do a great job, and Lori is great. I think they are doing very well.
Love it here!
reviewed on: 05/28/2021 by Vivian BI can't say enough about the staff here. Everybody works hard and is very caring and will help in any way they can to keep us happy. I mean this from my heart. They make me feel at home.
They cared about mom
reviewed on: 03/28/2017 by AnonymousMy only issue with this community is they were a little one sided when it came to the hospice service we used. They wanted to use their service. The staff are caring, awesome and they will help you with whatever you need. Mom did like to participate in some of the daily activities and she liked the food. The community is nice and it was in a good location for us. They have a family atmosphere and I would recommend this community.
Beautiful Room but Gross Carpet
reviewed on: 11/15/2013 by DaughterMy mother is suffering from dementia, so it's hard to know what she thinks of Sterling house. I think that they really need to improve the communication with the families in terms of what is going on. She has her own room that is really nice, with a private bathroom. They have a large group dining situation. I really like it overall. The one thing that I wish they would clean is the carpet. It is disgusting. When we first started moving in, they said that they were going to redo it, but that hasn't happened yet. They don't have any Medicaid set up right now, but they're working on that, too.
