Clean but total lack of care towards the end
reviewed on: 10/22/2018 by RMy grandma has stayed with magnolia Glen for 8 years and enjoyed it. The place is always clean and well maintained. Unfortunately her health has recently begin to decline and she's had to move into the assisted living area of Magnolia Glen. Firstly, she had to hire movers to move her bed and furniture to another floor. No help offered. Secondly, and most infuriating, she has not felt well enough to go to the dining room. Its a lot of work for her mobility speaking and her breathing is labored. I tell you the God's honest truth, her room is down the hall from the dining room, maybe 40 feet. Magnolia Glen said they'd have to charge additional to bring her meal to her room. This is assisted living and she pays 7 thousand dollars a month to be there. Mind you she's paid that for 8 years. You do the math. Not too far from a million. I find this to be criminal. The woman is towards the end of her life and the lack of care is appauling in my opinion. I'm her youngest grandson and trust me, I'd like to raise hell. My wife and family are in various healthcare positions, and I'm told this is par for the course at most facilities. Disgusts me. Wake up America.

reviewed on: 11/15/2020 by JennaMy grandmother recently moved into Magnolia Glen and the amazingly caring staff have figured out how to keep residents safe while still engaged. The community recently held a 2 day fair outdoors that included food trucks, 6 live bands and entertainment. My grandmother had her very first funnel cake! Even during the uncertain times the team at Magnolia Glen has figured out how to facilitate safe interactions and activities to keep at their residents engaged and happy!
Great Staff

Best Place in Raleigh

After several falls, we made the decision to move her to the assisted living area and have been more than happy. The aids are so attentive and they have no issues with turnover or staffing. I wish I would have made this move sooner. My mother is so happy with this big change and I couldn't imagine have my mother anywhere else.

Everyone is super friendly and have helped mom with the transition. Food is ok. Have had some issues with it not being served hot but when I communicated this they have been responsive. The property itself is lovely and I feel blessed that I can have my mom here. I have never had a time where I have made a comment about something where it hasn’t been quickly addressed which is awesome. Overall no major issues and feel like it it the best place in Raleigh to have my mom.
