The Bristal of lake Grove - Great Place for Mom
reviewed on: 08/30/2015 by Judy CroninMom has only been there for 2 weeks, but I have already noticed an improvement in her. The staff are wonderful people, who are friendly and very attentive. They get to know each and every resident personally along with each family member. I am so happy we chose the Bristal of Lake Grove for mom. She is in the best care and I don't need to worry about her anymore.
My new home
reviewed on: 03/16/2019 by Rosary RickMy name is Rosary Rick. I am resident at The Bristals at Lake Grove, NY. I just celebrated my third month here (March 2nd). It was an adjustment after selling my home, where I lived for 53 years. I have a lovely room and enjoy all of the activities: Bingo, exercise, movies, etc. They always celebrate holidays with music and refreshments. I have made friends here. The whole staff is very accommodating . It is like living at a five star hotel.
My Mom's New Home
reviewed on: 04/27/2019 by Geri OI have tears in my eyes (of joy and gratitude) while reading my mom’s letter to me. She has been in The Bristal at Lake Grove for about five months and she loves it. She said that she feels better than she ever has felt before in her life. She loves all of the activities, going out to eat, and recently going to Jakes (she had SO MUCH FUN). She never would have be able to do this when she lived alone- she writes that she does not feel alone anymore. She lived 55 years in her home and I never would have thought that she would have adjusted so well so soon -she raised her family in her home. But, we lived 45 mins away and if she had to go to the ER or doctor she would wait to tell us. Now, if she needs medical care she goes right down to wellness. She enjoys the delicious meals, made to order. She goes to balloon volley ball and Zumba. She just called me and said she saw the movie “Unstoppable,” and she loved it. She goes to the movies at least 2 X week. When she was living by herself, rarely ever. She has made new friends and is very sociable. I am indebted to the kind and helpful Staff, to Jennifer Rubino no who kindly took our hands and showed us the home, answering any questions we had and got the ball rolling in motion. I could never thank The Bristal at Lake Grove enough for bringing my mom back to me. This is a success story. Her quality of life and happiness are so much greater. Please consider The Bristal at Lake Grove. You will fall in love with it the way me and my mom have. You will never look back, only forward.
The Bristal at Lake Grove is an absolutely wonderful place!
reviewed on: 01/20/2020 by AnonymousThe Bristal at Lake Grove is an absolutely wonderful place!! In April 2019 our family had a devastating loss. Our mother passed away and our Dad, after 57 years of marriage, was living on his own. Upon deciding he did not want to live alone, we began researching assisted living facilities. From the moment we walked into the elegant lobby of The Bristal at Lake Grove, for our tour, we were greeted warmly and immediately felt welcome. Jennifer Rubino was so comforting and knowledgeable, we felt like we were meeting with an old friend. In Sept. 2019 our Dad moved into The Bristal at Lake Grove with great ease. The reception he received and continues to receive from both the residents and the staff, has been a true blessing! He has made many new friends. The compassion the staff members demonstrate and the way they interact with the residents is heartwarming. There are many activities available to the residents throughout the day and evening. Our Dad tries to participate in as many as he can; a few of his favorites are balloon volleyball, Wii bowling and Bingo. Our family enjoys the activities with the residents and staff as well. The pleasurable environment we have found at The Bristal has become a new home to our Dad and our family, and has put a smile back on his face. Thank you to everyone at The Bristal at Lake Grove!
We love it.
reviewed on: 06/25/2015 by AnonymousWe love it. My father is thriving there. He's gained weight. He's socializing more. He's so happy. He's clean shaven. The place is spotless and it's kept clean. I haven't met one person I haven't liked. It's better value than Sunrise. Not saying Sunrise isn't nice but they were charging more. They nurture him. Honestly, it's amazing. they call me for every little thing. They called me to tell me he didn't have razors and they got him some. They keep me very updated. I would recommend.
