Community Reviews
Staff is great!
reviewed on: 06/18/2021 by Terri WBeing out of state I have never seen the community but the manager (possibly the head person, I'm not quite sure on her title) and the gentlemen in charge of sales was extremely helpful to me in the beginning. The process was difficult and they truly made the transition easy. I do feel like the staff takes good care of the people there, and I do feel like they are always extremely helpful to not only the loved ones their, but their families as well. Our loved one says the food is okay, but they are more used to pizza and fast food, so I am sure they are not used to the healthy eating.
A great caring place
reviewed on: 07/27/2020 by AnonymousMy mother has been a resident for over 5 years now. I live abroad and they make it easy for me to make sure my mom is taken care of. They have honestly gone above and beyond during this Covid crisis. The owner Stephen helped me advocate and come up with solutions to help her get discharged from the rehabilitation centre after recovering from Covid. It was nearly impossible to get someone in to talk to them with all the regulations. The staff at The Homestead are all lovely..Celeste the case manager is very caring and very honest. It’s clean, bright, friendly and they will try to help in any way.

reviewed on: 12/12/2012 by A Place For Mom CustomerThe place was very clean. The atmosphere was pleasant. The residents seem to move around the facility. it was also located in an area where there were stores, public transportation. the residents were allowed to go outside. There was someone at the window in the lobby. the rooms were a nice size.
Beautiful facility
reviewed on: 11/10/2017 by AnonymousI toured here when I was trying to find a place for my friend. It was okay but they could not provide the care that she needed so we weren’t able to choose them. She needed care 24/7 and that was something that they couldn’t help with. The guy that’s running the place gave me a lot of information that they didn’t seem to include in the brochure. The facility itself was very nice and clean but there were a lot of Alzheimer’s and dementia patients so it felt a bit depressing, especially for my friend who would’ve been there. She’s very sharp, still, so it was important to me that she had a place that was uplifting. We wound up going with a home care option instead.
They have communication issues
reviewed on: 12/05/2014 by AnonymousWe've had some issues with The Homestead. The biggest one is how hard it is to communicate with them regarding issues involving your loved one. If you call them to discuss an issue they'll put you through to the relevant person's voicemail, and you'll never hear back from them. It's almost impossible to get a hold of someone directly. They make changes to my loved one's care that I don't like, and I'm always the last to hear about it.
