Father Is In Good Hands
reviewed on: 08/31/2017 by AnonymousSo far everything is working out pretty well since my fathers move to this community. He is doing okay, and I'am comfortable with his move to this facility. They have a nice staff, and they are taking good care of him. This is a good, safe community, and I would recommend it.

It has been a tough go but, we really want to care for him until it becomes too much for us. That time is soon to be upon us. He will probably need to move in late 2016. I started looking at communities for when that time comes. I don't want to wait until something happens to dad. I came across Care One at Somerset valley last week. I let the counselor know what my concerns were and why I was starting to look. He advised that we could go away for a week or so and have dad test it out for a set rate which covers everything. I let him know that I had to go away for The Passover holiday and could not take my dad with us. He said..."That's perfect", let's try a week vacation for you and for your dad. I booked the respite. I had no idea that this was a possibility. I wish I would have known about this program earlier as it really would have made our lives a little easier. Sarah H.
Nice place, overall
reviewed on: 10/20/2015 by AnonymousOverall I think they do a good job at CareOne Assisted Living, we're pleased with the decision we made in selecting this community. However, the quality has declined a bit since we moved our loved one in. For a few months things were great, but within the last month or two there has been a lot of staff turnover, and some of the services and cleanliness of the community has suffered a bit. I'm hoping things will return to their previous levels of quality once things settle down.

It did seem like there was not a lot of coordination between the staff. They knew he was coming and they did not have a room for him in the assisted living section so he had to stay in the memory care unit. He was ok with the food. The community is clean and well maintained. This community had an institutional feel to it.

CareOne did right by our family, the administrator was amazing, we loved her. She was very good with our family and other families there. She was always on top of everything, and we really liked how they gave out their personal cell phone numbers in case we ever had an emergency or any concerns. The nurses assistant [name removed] was amazing, she not only showed loved to our mother but to our family. We really appreciated her.
