There were many factors that played into where to move my mother too. I did find another community that suited our needs better, my tour of this facility went well.
We liked it, it was nice, and small enough.

A clean environment to enjoy inside and outside. I would recommend the excellent care that is provided her for others.
This community has a nice homey atmosphere.
reviewed on: 09/18/2017 by AnonymousThe staff are doing a great job. My mother in law is adjusting to living at this community. She has a nice apartment and has started making friends. She has started to participate in some of the daily activities and has even gone on some outings. She is not big on the food. When we toured we met with the director and they are very involved. This is a smaller community and I would recommend it.
Our experience with Bickford
reviewed on: 02/24/2021 by Brenda EWe chose Bickford of Raytown because they said she could have her meals in her room (since she is unable to walk) at no extra charge. Every other place told us she could not do that or there was a big fee. There was some confusion about that from staff members because it is their policy to charge. That is one issue we have had is internal communication. One person says one thing and someone else says another thing and I have to end up calling the manager to get the truth. But they have been extremely friendly and always try to be very accommodating to our family.
