Community Reviews
Friendly Staff!!
reviewed on: 09/09/2016 by AnonymousMy mother is enjoying her meals there are no complaints. The staff communication is good. They are very friendly as well. I would recommend the community to friends and family. I feel that my loved one is receiving the proper care that she needs. The staff tries to encourage her to participate in activities to a level of comfort. There are few activities that she is starting to engage in.
Great Place!
reviewed on: 03/19/2020 by Nancy FranzWe have been very pleased with everything about Edgewood of Blaine. Our dad became a resident in the memory care area last November. The staff is very caring, kind and considerate to the residents. They have many activities they encourage the residents to participate in such as exercise , movies and an assortment of games (cards, Bingo, etc) they offer each day. The facility feels clean and fresh. It is nice to know my dad is in a place he is well cared for. The nurse manager in the memory care area (Kristi) is wonderful. She has stayed on top of my dad's care, as he has had a few health concerns since November and we can know he is well looked after.
I feel my dad has a good quality of life at this facility.
reviewed on: 07/11/2019 by AnonymousMy dad has been at Edgewood memory care since March 01, 2019. He was transferred from rehabilitation directly to this facility. He has done very well and I feel like his quality of life at the age of 91 has been given a knew start. He has no more worries and they take great care of him. The entire staff has always been very hands on with everything so far.
the staff seems engaged
reviewed on: 09/17/2015 by AnonymousFrom what I've observed the staff seems engaged at Edgewood Senior Living, even the staff that aren't dealing with my mom. The one thing I would mention is they don't have any alarms on their doors on the assisted living side. So a door could be open all night and they wouldn't know. Other than that everything so far has been good.
Used to be great, just average or below now
reviewed on: 12/28/2019 by Disappointed DaughterMy mom was In the Memory care unit there for 2 1/2 years and we absolutely loved it...........at first! But over the course of time they have lost some very valuable people that actually MADE the place outstanding. While the replacements have been just "ok" (with the exception of Bambi, she is at the very top of the list of people who should NOT be working in her position) it has not maintained it's "exceptional" standard. It was so hard to watch this place slide downhill so fast when, to us, it was top notch. I hope Edgewood can get some quality people back on staff and make that place "great again!" I know I am not alone in my assessment of Edgwood of Blaine. I have talked to many others who have felt the same way, but our choice was to either move our mom, which is very hard on her, or just be sure we were there often to keep an eye on her. I feel bad writing this, but I wouldn't be honest if I said anything different, For us, the location made it so we could be there often and make sure mom was ok.
