Nice for Independent-Living Only
reviewed on: 12/11/2014 by Sugarcat2Our mother was supposed to be in assisted living, but was not always assisted. For example, she missed lunch because of her memory, and no one thought to check on her or bring lunch to her. The aides are friendly, but not well trained, and the LPN in charge does not follow through with requests for information on medical care, and always complains she is "too busy". The facility is clean and the surroundings are very nice. This facility is best for someone in need of independent living.
Not A Lock Down Memory Care Facility

You all became family to us and I would like to say Thank You for caring and loving my Mother as we all did. Poor Corporate Leadership
reviewed on: 10/24/2019 by Concerned GranddaughterThe Brook Retirement Communties Corprate Office shows the residents no respect. Just because you sign a contract for an apartment that was agreed upon doesnt mean that they wont breach it. My grandparents signed a rental agreement for a specific apartment, when it came time for the lease renewal they were told that the previous manager had made a mistake and they either had to move to a smaller apartment or pay an extra 300 a month to stay in their current apartment or be out by the 31st. No written notice given instead they attempted to bill them for the extra 300 before their current lease was up which breached there current contract anyways. They are unwilling to accept accountability for the mistake that they made and are now unwilling to allow my grandparents to stay past the 31st. Just be aware, if this happens to your family the law states that they have to give written notice if the contract is going to be changed in anyway and they cant force someone out without going through the courts under these circumstances. In the past I would have recommended The Brook however especially in the last few years all I have seen is greed and no compassion by the corporate office for these residents. There business practices have become shady. The commercials you see on tv are a farce. The food has gone downhill and the have no concern for diabetics or other people that require healthy diets and the meals that are served are not worth the price. Just beware, My grandparents arent the only ones going through the exact same thing right now. Our elderly deserve better
Not suitable for Respite Pt.
reviewed on: 12/17/2013 by Concerned DaughterWe are impressed with the overall facilty. However, for a Respite Pt. this is NOT THE PLACE. Dad needs much prompting, and hands-on, The Brook wasn't prepaired for him. He didn't like it there. We ended up bringing him home early, and they didn't refund our money (we prepaid). It took 5 hrs. initially to get his room ready( it was suppose to be ready). We will come back to this facility.
