...a truly caring place
reviewed on: 12/02/2013 by AnonymousThe physical plant is inviting. No two rooms are alike and they are well kept and up to date. All of the workers (aides, nurses and other staff) are very professional and seem to care deeply for the residents. They are ready to handle any situation as it arises. The whole place is "home-y", very clean and quiet. There is an enormous backyard that residents can use in good weather to just enjoy the sun or garden. The food is served in a nice dining room with coffee available ad lib. Many levels of care are available. I feel that my mother is very safe there and well taken care of.
is this how administrators should treat people
reviewed on: 08/04/2019 by AnonymousI just got my mom out of there a year ago. There is no air conditioning, no nurses on duty, and the food is horrible. They only let you shower once a week unless someone like me calls to complain about it. A question about billing with the "owner", escalated into a heated argument which included me being called every name in the book, including a mother f'er. I was told to "bring it on" when I told her she would be reported to the state. Then I was told to come and pick up my 86 year old mother asap because they were "done" with us. And asked "how soon can you get here?" When I got there, they had already packed her belongings and my mom was sitting there waiting for me. We were told my mom's insurance would cover her stay, she would give up all of her own money except for $70/month. This morning she received a bill for $12,163.50 for being there just under 3 months. Be very careful with these people. Smiling faces to get you in the door. There's a reason they always have beds available. The staff seems very nice, the owner and manager I can't say the same for.
