Community Reviews
Great staff members
reviewed on: 10/19/2020 by AnonymousWe chose Bickford of Burlington because we knew some people that worked here so we knew the staff members were good at what they do so we felt more comfortable putting my parents here. I have only seen my moms room and it is nice size. The best part about the community so far has definitely been the staff. I would recommend.
The Bickford needs a better variety of activities!
reviewed on: 09/02/2016 by AnonymousWe are pleased with the care that the staff offers at the Bickford of Burlington. They do a good job communicating with me about my dad's care needs. They offer a variety of options for meals and dad is enjoying them. They offer activities for the residents to enjoy. They had a Western Day where dad got dressed up. I would like to see more games like cribbage to help encourage more socialization of the residents. My dad is bored at times because he does not enjoy playing bingo and they play bingo often.
One of the Best Community My Loved Has Been At
reviewed on: 06/15/2021 by AnonymousI would refer others to the community, if you can afford it. It can be pricey. I got a warm fuzzy feeling while I was there. This is because of the staff, decorations, and cooked meals on site. The activities are good here and they change them to assist the residents in being active. The only negative is they kept calling the primary doctor to increase medication to try to control my loved one's dementia. We ended up moving my loved one since the doctor wouldn't increase the medication anymore.

They have fish and bird room!
reviewed on: 12/19/2017 by AnonymousThis was a nice facility to take a tour of, but they had no availability when my family was looking for a place for my Dad. The interior decorating was a little bit more like a residence, the hallways were a bit wider, and they even had a fish room and a bird room. The reception area had hot coffee and gave us a snack to eat when we came by. They were very knowledgeable about the facility and took us through the building to see units that already had people in them so we could at least see what the rooms looked like. Overall, they were very helpful and the facility was nice but we had an immediate need to move him in so we chose a different community.
