Community Reviews
Caring Staff Provides for Mom
reviewed on: 03/29/2021 by AnonymousThey had lots of activities available for the residents. The staff seemed competent, who genuinely care for my mother-in-law. I would recommend the community to others. The best thing for me was the community connection since I knew some of the staff. The time that my loved one was here was spent during COVID.
Wonderful community
reviewed on: 09/17/2020 by Nicky B.Coventry Meadows’ Memory Care has been a Godsend for my mom. I am many miles away without family who can be available for her increasing needs, and Samantha & her folks are wonderful. I know a Mom is safe & loved, in a warm, supportive environment, even though I can’t be there. They have a super group of residents and a caring staff. I am grateful, relieved and so appreciative of their care.
Good Assisted Living , But Not Impressed with The Memory Care
reviewed on: 05/22/2017 by AnonymousI was impressed with this community's assisted living portion of the community, but the memory care side wasn't very impressive. Their memory care portion was underground, and down a long hallway, and I didn't feel that would work for my brother, and his needs.
Review of Coventry Meadows in Fort Wayne, IN
reviewed on: 05/01/2015 by CherylMy mother-in-law lives in this community. She was very adamant about staying in her home despite memory loss. Now that she is there, she is very happy. She loves that her cleanup and meals are done. She loves that they call her "miss" and they remember what she likes to eat.
A delightful experience
reviewed on: 02/09/2016 by J. MobergI can't say enough about the friendliness of the staff at Coventry Meadows. I feel as though they genuinely care for my father, and also our family (they almost all recognize us and refer to Dad by name before we ever have to say who we are or who we are visiting). They are always friendly, and helpful whenever we visit, and my father, who can be a bit particular, has nothing but great reports to give on the way he is treated. The activities director seems to have some fabulous ideas on things to do. My father is a bit reclusive where activities are concerned. Since male residents are highly outnumbered, I think fitting his particular interests in a way that can interest the majority of residents is highly challenging for the activity director, but I know she gives her best effort to involve him, and all of the residents. I feel that everyone goes above and beyond to do whatever they can to assist him with getting to meals and making sure he is receiving excellent care. The only negative we have found is the distance from the main living/dining space to the end of the hallway. There is a list to be moved closer, as space is available, so hopefully that will be remedied in time, but it is a very long walk. That being said, I know that they have been very helpful at assisting him in coming down for meals whenever he wasn't feeling up to the walk. I wish the layout were a bit different, but they do make a huge effort to make up for this minor layout flaw. The location of the facility is a big plus for us as well. It is located very close to our home, and in a very busy area of town very near the interstate. However, it is situated in such a lovely spot overlooking Eagle Marsh that it feels like a country retreat. On several occasions we have been greeted by deer on our way out in the parking lot. Such a special and unexpected delight! Overall, I am very satisfied with the care my father receives. As I noted before, he can be a little particular about things, but he seems to really like the staff, and I feel they go above and beyond the call to make sure he is treated with respect and affection.
