Community Reviews
Central Baptist Village - Norridge, IL
reviewed on: 12/27/2016 by Nancy WallaceMy parents had been in skilled & assisted living communities when they were alive. I wish CBV had room for my parents but they were always full. Luckily, my aunt was able to get into CBV late last year. Although she could not do everything for herself due to her stroke the staff at CBV was "outstanding" and treated her well, spoke to her often (she became blind) and overall were the best I've ever experienced. I was so happy she was there. "10" stars!!
So far it's been pretty good.
reviewed on: 05/20/2014 by ClaireSo far it's been pretty good. I have to follow up with things, and learning what she needs help with. She likes the food. We chose them for a few reasons, I liked their pricing and that it was exact and inclusive. We liked the location, and we had also heard a lot of nice things from trusted healthcare workers. They are very friendly, before we made the decision, they were very patient. There is a chapel there, too.
Perfect place for mom
reviewed on: 12/01/2019 by D. MetzgerMy mother who recently passed away spent about 7 years as a resident of Central Baptist Village. First in the Terrace for those with mid stage Alzheimer’s and then in the Skilled Nursing Pavilion for those with late stage Alzheimer’s. In the Terrace the residents have their own room while in the Pavilion they share a room. There are plenty of activities and the staff does a great job trying to keep everyone involved. Deciding on finding a place for your loved one when Alzheimer’s starts to take its toll is one of the toughest things to do but the people at Central Baptist have eased our burden by taking great care of my mother. They have always been profession and personable and when we came to visit we were greeted by name and treated like family. When issues did arrive they were handled quickly and the follow up was continuous. One thing to consider when finding a place for your loved one is what happens should they outlive their money. Central Baptist kept my mother once she ran out of money and made sure they helped me every step of the way to make sure the Medicaid process was done correctly and once she was approved there was no impact on her care. I can’t stress enough how their help through this time eased my mind. It takes a special person to care for those with Alzheimer’s and Central Baptist has done a great job finding employees who care and do their best in a tough situation. Even in her last days they would have my mom dressed and at the table, dining room, or one of the activities even if she no longer participated. Not once in any of my visits did I find her in bed or being neglected. That became her second family and for that I will always be grateful.
Top Quality Caring Facility
reviewed on: 09/11/2013 by Thomas PekaraThis is high quality facility for seniors. It is well maintained with considerable natural light. The staff is very friendly and supportive to the residents. The food is very good. The price is one of the highest in the area but I believe it was the best for my mother. She loves it. They have different activities - entertainment, bingo, exercise, movies.
I toured this community
reviewed on: 12/04/2017 by AnonymousIt was a good tour very nice. It was bright it had good color schemes. There wasn't a lot of activity going on when I was there. The staff was nice it just wasn't a good fit for my Aunt.
