Community Reviews
A great place that gives quality care and it is safe!
reviewed on: 01/07/2021 by anonymousThe activities are very good, they have sing a longs and bingo. Before COVID they would go out on a bus every two weeks to drive around the town, they have ice creams social and can bake cookies. I would recommend Sumter Place in the Villages to others.
Uncared For, Unwanted, This is Care?
reviewed on: 03/29/2021 by T. S.I don't recommend the community. There was a switch in management during the stay. There was a lot of theft during the stay of my loved one. There was a time where my loved one went two weeks without being cleaned. The residents didn't look happy while visiting our loved one. I didn't care for the way the staff treated my loved one. The management team didn't care to assist with issues that I had with my loved one.
Improvements made, happy parents
reviewed on: 10/29/2018 by JaneOwnership changed hands and new staff has been put in place over the summer. My parents are here and I live nearby. I am there at least twice a week. I see residents who really should be in a memory care unit instead of assisted living. If you want help showering, dressing or other, that costs extra. My parents love it there. They are busy all the time. The food is good. If a problem arises, all it takes is telling the staff and they take care of it.
Worth taking a look at
reviewed on: 06/08/2017 by AnonymousI liked this community when I visited. The staff I met there were friendly. This community is family owned and they seem to offer a lot of nice amenities. This looked like a nice well cared for community. This community just did not feel like the right fit for my loved one.
A good tour!
reviewed on: 05/20/2017 by AnonymousI had a good tour of Sumter Place in The Villages. The facility was very clean when I toured, and the lady that took me around was friendly and helped me with any questions. What I did no like was the size, it was a larger place and I wanted something a bit smaller for mom.
