Small community - say the c...
reviewed on: 05/08/2014 by AnonymousSmall community - say the care ratio is 1/12. Dining room looked inviting - not too much going on activity wise. Rooms were so-so - certainly not luxurious. They don't provide transportation anywhere - that is extra.
I could not be happier for my mom. She made friends even before we moved her in. She is very happy, clean and cheerful atmosphere!
reviewed on: 02/26/2014 by AnonymousThe family run Active Senior Living Residence is an answer to prayer for our family. Warm and inviting atmosphere. Every resident we spoke to say they are very happy with the wonder staff and surroundings. Bright and cheerful! When you walk in the main entrance you see the dining room with over sized arched windows that look out to a magnificent garden. If you happen to catch it just right every time we come to visit mom, we smell this amazing food coming from the kitchen. I always see the owners and family doing something special for the residents. They are 100% hands on. There is a genuine passion and concern for the care and attention for every resident. It has been a joy to see my mom make friends right away and invited to sit with them at there table for meals. Honestly, when ever my siblings or I call to talk to her she is always in the middle of a game, exercising or soaking up the sunshine right outside her door which opens to the outside garden, talking with her friends... we laugh about it because she is to busy for us.

Very sad
reviewed on: 07/10/2017 by AnonymousIf they need full care find another place. They do not have enough aides to take care of all the people. Not enough activities to keep them busy. The floors in the outside rooms are very dirty .The food is awful. There is not enough help in this facility, The people that need to be fed sit a wait. When people get sick they wait way to long before they get them help. The people that need full care will sit and wait in wet diapers and sit in poop/. Then when they clean them they leave old poop in there behinds. It was a constant BATTLE to keep them clean and dry. My moms things were used for other people. My mother was here for about 5 years, Once she lost the ability to take care of herself the care went downhill from there. I had to be there to make sure she ate and that she was not sitting in a wet diapers. I finally had to move her.. When you go into a place and hear people yelling for help and not getting it and you can not find someone you know something is very wrong..
Beware
reviewed on: 10/20/2018 by RoseMy mom was in this place for 6 years. In the beginning it was ok. But when she lost her ability to walk and feed her self it went downhill fast. I would come in every day , sometimes 3x a day. She would be sitting in poop and pee. She also would be sitting at the table and many times no one would be feeding her, the things I have seen at this place was just horrific . My mom had to have a belt on her wheel chair because she kept falling flat on her face out often chair. The facility gave me a hard time about the belt .But I got a Dr to write a note that she had to have one for he safety. I also gave them a letter from me that she must be belted in. But every time I went in the belt would not buckled and she would fallout and they would say well you know we are not aloud to belt her in. I said you got a Dr note and my permission. So when ever they forgot to buckle her in and she fell they would say this to me.. My mother in law was in here also and the rail was broken so they threw it under the bed and she got out of bed and tried to walk and fell flat on her face. She was never the same after that. I would find her screaming help help because she could not breath. No one came to her rescue. she ended up being put on hospice and passed away. They did not have enough help at all for these people. It was EXTREMLY sad . I ended up taking my mom out and moving her. I have seen a lot in this place and it was not good. They were bought out and it became worse, Many times when I came in I would hear people screaming for help . I told the aide someone is yelling for help. She answered oh she always does THAT but when I got in there I found her on the floor with a wheel chair on top of her. There was always someone yelling for help with no one to be found to help. Many time I would find a resident on the side of a toilet on the floor. It was just awful. There were many people not taken care of. Another place that does not have enough help. Another place that should have cameras up at all times.Breaks my heart.
