Fun fun fun
reviewed on: 07/11/2016 by SusanI have visited this community for a few years. This is the place for your loved one. I keep coming to events they have. What is nice is the same people have worked there for so long. Mark in the salon has been there for over 20 years as well as some really nice servers in the restaurant. Steve and Carol (who have been there for over 5 years!) always invite me to events, they have some fun ones. The place isn't the newest, but it is well maintained and clean. Everyone is happy too. I am looking for the future and have inquired early, I am a planner. I feel like family and I don't even live there. Some of the caregivers remember me and call me by name when they see me at one of the events. The food is fabulous too! I have been to lunch twice! I tell everyone at my church and book club to visit Savannah Court of Maitland for their loved one. Some day this will be my home too.

reviewed on: 07/06/2020 by AnonymousThey have been very accommodating with the Covid-19 pandemic. They have been very good about accommodating with my mother's needs during the community lock down. When we call and try to make an arrangement, the staff know who we are and they do a good job keeping track of us. The staff is very communicative with us about how my mother is doing. Over the time that my mother has been here, the community is consistently clean. The food and dinning experience is also very good and they really try to work with her and work through some of her behaviors. The rooms are not overly large, however her room has a view of the street and is close to an elevator. The staff does her laundry and they are good about keeping the room itself clean. They help remind her to do her laundry and take her dirty dishes to the sink. My mother does have some memory loss issues and they have worked both with her and with us a lot to help accommodate for her needs. As far as activities, they do have outside musical entertainment come in so the residents have something to do. They take the residents off-community to stores and will allow them to shop independently.
Should've done it sooner!
reviewed on: 07/06/2016 by NatalieIn 2012, sadly, my husband passed. I then had to take care of the home by myself (boy, did I miss his cooking). However, when it came time to start replacing parts of the house (the AC, the roof, etc.), I decided my life had to change. In 2015 my cousin and I started our research on Assisted Living Facilities; we researched everything in the Orlando area, and realized we needed to narrow our results to 3. Meantime, I became ill and the move became more necessary so I relied on my cousin to visit the communities. When she visited Savannah Court of Maitland she was impressed by the facility and the friendliness of not only the staff, but the residents. Also one of my criteria was to find a place in which I could remain for the rest of my life. My peace of mind was satisfied by the fact that Savannah Cove Skilled Nursing and Rehab was in the same building. The decision was made! Even my first day at Savannah Court was a pleasure as I was called by first name immediately leading to my feeling of being a member of a new family. No more cooking, doing dishes, washing clothes, cleaning up; just living life and having fun - activities, entertainment, transportation, shopping, and refreshments galore. My new family and home are now the best decision of my life. I should have done it sooner!

reviewed on: 07/09/2020 by AnonymousThe community was mostly clean. The staff was very friendly when we were there. The care giving staff seems like they are doing what they can. Because of the Covid-19 pandemic, they are a little limited on what they can do for activities.
