Medical assistants seem to take the path of least reistance
reviewed on: 10/15/2013 by SonThe care is questionable, the problem is that not being there and having a mother that's going through early to mid-stages of dementia, it's hard to tell what she says is true or what they say because I'm just not there. I see evidence of some of the things she's complaining about being true and the fact that the medical assistance take the easiest course of action because they can't force the resident to do anything but they're letting a 90 year old with dementia tell them what to do. I had the director of nursing in there and they're trained professionals and they have to have a certain makeup about them to do what they do, they know the right things to say and it certainly seems like they care, but then other times I don't see anything getting done. If I had one thing to address, instead of me calling or going in and complaining when I should be spending time with my mother, I think they should have some sort of 6 month review, or sooner than 6 months, to ask me how things are going. When you're there and there's something wrong, you're not really in the right frame of mind to be positive about the criticism you're giving.
Excellent Care
reviewed on: 03/29/2018 by AnonymousOur family has relied on Savannah Court’s care for our mother since 2015. Over our many visits in that time, we have had ample opportunity to witness first-hand an environment of excellent care consistently extended by a caring and empathetic staff. With the possible exception of an off-site accounts receivable department which appears to work occasionally and unwittingly at cross purpose with the organization, our experience with both Savannah Court and Savannah Cove has been exemplary, which earns them our highest recommendation.

reviewed on: 12/27/2013 by A Place For Mom CustomerThis was my favorite. It has skilled nursing-if she has surgery and she can stay with her same friends. It had good service, activities & cleanliness and the best price. It's #1 on my list so far.
My family loves this place!
reviewed on: 04/21/2017 by ShirleyThis is the best place for my Dad. He loves the food and Chef Deb. Angel in activities has convinced him to participate in activities and that amazes me. If you haven't visited here, ignore the bad reviews and visit so you can see for yourself!
Best choice.
reviewed on: 07/08/2016 by Mary AnneI moved my mom into this community a few months ago. It really was a struggle for me. I had started to become her caregiver. I was ending up going to her home every day helping with her medicines, cooking, cleaning... I thought I was retired!!! Through some friends we heard about Savannah Court of Maitland and booked a tour. I wasn't sure how to go about all this with my mom. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. They walked me through the process. I was most surprised how happy all the residents were. I met several and that brought me peace of mind. I even met another family member who raved about the place. It was just a more active friendly feeling community than the five others I've visited. Also the longevity of the staff impressed me, almost everyone has been there for years! Long story short my mom's life has changed. She has made friends, she is happy, and I have peace of mind she is taken care of. As they told me, I get to be the daughter again. And that was so right. Believe me, this IS THE PLACE for your loved one. Just go see for yourself.
