Medical assistants seem to take the path of least reistance
reviewed on: 10/15/2013 by SonThe care is questionable, the problem is that not being there and having a mother that's going through early to mid-stages of dementia, it's hard to tell what she says is true or what they say because I'm just not there. I see evidence of some of the things she's complaining about being true and the fact that the medical assistance take the easiest course of action because they can't force the resident to do anything but they're letting a 90 year old with dementia tell them what to do. I had the director of nursing in there and they're trained professionals and they have to have a certain makeup about them to do what they do, they know the right things to say and it certainly seems like they care, but then other times I don't see anything getting done. If I had one thing to address, instead of me calling or going in and complaining when I should be spending time with my mother, I think they should have some sort of 6 month review, or sooner than 6 months, to ask me how things are going. When you're there and there's something wrong, you're not really in the right frame of mind to be positive about the criticism you're giving.
My family loves this place!
reviewed on: 04/21/2017 by ShirleyThis is the best place for my Dad. He loves the food and Chef Deb. Angel in activities has convinced him to participate in activities and that amazes me. If you haven't visited here, ignore the bad reviews and visit so you can see for yourself!
Friendly, welcoming community
reviewed on: 03/23/2016 by AnonymousOur experience with Savannah Court has been a very good one, overall! The facility is clean and well kept (although occasionally there will be odors), and the staff all seem very attentive and caring. I like that they'll check on residents if they don't make it down for a meal. The dining service itself does a good job, as well! The food is good, and they're very flexible with the menu. Mom really seems to have settled in well, and the other residents have been very friendly and welcoming!
my experience at savannah court
reviewed on: 02/15/2021 by AnonymousThe staff is very friendly and upbeat. They had some activities always going on. The rooms had a very nice view and were very spacious. Just make sure that if your loved one has and disabilities they are able to get around in their space ok. I would definitely recommend this community to others
Tiny Rooms
reviewed on: 12/05/2013 by DaughterReally nice, but the only room that they had available was not going to be a good situation. It was really tiny room, and her roommate would have been only in her 40's and had had a stroke and couldn't talk clearly. My mom is hard of hearing so they wouldn't have been able to communicate at all. The worst thing was that the bed was so close to the closet that she couldn't have gotten between them with her walker. It's a pretty place with nice people. They gave us a Boston creme pie when we toured!
