Better Than What We Had Previously

The smaller size enables the entire staff, but particularly the management to be more in tune with her needs and to genuinely try to address them. They seem much more stable, consistent, sincere, and honest than what we experienced previously. They could do a little more regarding personalization of meal choices and drawing my mom into activities, but overall I've seen improvements in her physical and emotional health since she moved there 3 months ago. I would definitely and strongly recommend Spring Hills for someone who is not quite mentally independent, but not in need of constant or "traditional" nursing care.

Very homey environment
reviewed on: 02/15/2017 by AnonymousWe toured this community when looking for my mother and it was very lovely. They had a group conversation with us and were very friendly. The atmosphere is very homey and small. It's nice that it's small so things wouldn't be overwhelming for a resident. The only reason we didn't choose Spring Hills is the rooms were too small.

Joanne the resident angel I call her meets me outside to get my moms dog 3 times a week to spend time with her at the community during this pandemic. I love the videos and pictures of mom and the hallway parties and parades. I wasn’t feeling well one day that I missed dropping the dog off and the Executive Director personally showed up to home with dinner for my family, soup and get well soon gifts balloons and cards from everyone at the community . I’m grateful for mom to be there with thoughtful and loving individuals it feels like our extended family.
great care
reviewed on: 12/16/2014 by AnonymousMom is getting much better care at Spring Hills of Lake Mary than she has in other places. The food is phenomenal. We couldn't believe how good the food is. And the place is very clean and beautiful. Any time anybody has any questions or issues, the social worker there is full of helpful information and always wiling to assist. She was one of the main reasons I moved mom there. Mom has not been in there very long so our experience is somewhat limited, but thus far it has been a good overall experience.
