A Good Option in the Haines City Area
reviewed on: 02/14/2018 by M.P.In the last few months, I have had the pleasure of visiting this facility several times. The staff is friendly, the place is clean and smells fresh, even in both of the memory care units. The administrator and the front desk receptionist gave me an excellent tour; they are both very customer service oriented and you can see that they take pride in their facility. I asked a few residents if they like living there and got positive responses as well. The building has been renovated, everything looks new from the flooring to the paint on the walls. There are also two new gazebos outside of the building. The landscape and parking lots, however, are still being worked on.

reviewed on: 09/28/2018 by bharat jailwalaThe facility is not a high end place. That being said, the care of the staff has been above my expectations. The renovations have been taking a while but the building has come together fairly well over the last year. It is different than a nursing home. Nursing homes will have medically licensed staff available 24 hrs/day - this place uses care givers which can only follow the directions of doctors and nurses that come to the building throughout the week. It did take time to get used to that idea but you can see how it works. The food is ok - probably on par with the other places we've visited, but the portions are unlimited and alternatives are offered with every meal. Parking lot still needs work - not a fan of how it looks. The new furniture was a plus. When my dad moved in he got new items: bed, dresser, and nightstand. Above all that was mentioned, the care staff was the main reason we stayed. They seem to really care and pay attention to my dad's need.
I do not recommend this community.
reviewed on: 08/14/2017 by AnonymousI am not impressed with this community. They seem understaffed and my loved one does not get along with a few of the caregivers. They do not seem able to watch or give the care needed to the residents. He does not like the food and does not participate in any of the activities. They do not check the residents vitals and they are not able to give insulin. They did some improvements in the assisted living area, however they have not yet done any in the memory care unit.
I was not impressed!
reviewed on: 12/06/2016 by AnonymousI did not like the outside of this community as it reminded me of an old hotel. When we went inside the staff did not seem to know what was going on, due to this I did not continue with our tour.
Terrible treatment
reviewed on: 06/23/2019 by Jan JurgensAt first we thought it was ok, older but clean, etc. I would not recommend for anyone. My mother in law was sent to the hospital, they told us she couldn’t come back(she was in memory care) put us in a real bind. While gone they stole all her belongings. When I went to get, they said “sorry”” we can’t find , nothing we can do. Hundreds of dollars of items. Comforter, curtains, throw, a bracelet, sever pairs of shoes, all her clothes, toiletries, family Bible, books, purse, family pictures, etc, etc. I should have called the police. Still might just for the principal of it. Should not take advantage of people that can’t help themselves.
