reviewed on: 12/27/2012 by A Place For Mom CustomerLovely facility. Program director knew all the patients by name and they seems to respond to her. All the staff was very welcoming and seemed happy to share any information with us. One down side was the advanced state most of the patients were in. I didn't notice a lot of interaction between them although they were in the same room. Didn't see a lot of staff around but there was an outing today so that may be why. A lease is involved with a 30 day notice clause (15 in case of death). rent is still expected even if there is hospitalization. Staff ratio is 1:7 in day and 1:14 at night). Great concept for dining options (visual choices) and added benefits of depth perception color choices in decor. Nice menu choices.
Like a B&B
reviewed on: 03/23/2015 by AnonymousMaplewood is a lovely, caring community. The staff keeps you up to date on the progress of your loved one. The surroundings are beautiful and well maintained. More like a B&B than assisted living. Expensive, but well worth it.

Good eating!
reviewed on: 11/08/2016 by AnonymousThis community has done a outstanding job with my loved one. She is really enjoying it here and she has been trying to get involved with some of the activities that they have. They are really doing good at helping her make the transition. She also liked the food.
The chef is good, the people feel like eating.
reviewed on: 12/10/2013 by Daughter in lawMy mother in law is in the Alzheimers wing and they do have activities on a daily basis and bring in musicians twice a week if they want to participate but no one is forced. It was a little smaller and more manageable than the others we looked at and felt like this is the place where she would be, and it was not to overwhelming. It was more homey, and the lobby is smaller, they have a library and a place to sit with the plants that's nice. The meals seem to be very nice, the presentation they make a point of using fresh ingredients, they call it plow to plate. The chef is good, the people feel like eating. It's a big part of the day and a good time for them to socialize.
