In the autumn of 2015, Rowntree Gardens completed a multi-million dollar infrastructure / renovation project, new staff additions, the creation of new community member programming and services, and much more. 2015 was also our 50th anniversary! Not only is our average employee tenure 13 years, but our staff treat and care for community members like family. We're also proud that "U.S. News & World Report BEST Nursing Homes 2014" gave Rowntree Gardens its highest rating of five stars (based on Medicare data). Our affiliations include: California Friends Homes, The Alzheimer's Association, LeadingAge California, Better Business Bureau and Friends Services for the Aging.
- They have a sensor installed in each room to detect the regular movement of the resident, and when the movement has a significant change it alerts the staff, either unsual movement during the night, or no movement for an unusual period of time.
- Grounds are beautiful!
- They have a wonderful library for the residents, a gift shop for the residents, and also for all new residents they have a transition director who spends time with the new resident making intruductions to other residents, eating meals for a short period of time until Mom or Dad feel comfortable in their new environment.
