Community Reviews
Good Care, Good Value.
reviewed on: 11/06/2013 by Alan HThis facility is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. The grounds and buildings are well maintained, though the building is old. The staff seems friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is relaxed, and my wife feels more at home here than she did in the previous place. There have been a few small maintenance issues, but the maintenance man has responded quickly and fixed them right away. The ceilings on the hallways are quite low, and I feel like I'm going to hit my head on a sprinkler head. The rooms, however, have a regular, higher ceiling. I would imagine the hallway ceilings were lowered to allow for retrofitting in the sprinkler system. They have deodorant spritzers in the hallways that provide a slightly too sweet odor. After having visited there a number of times, I think they could get rid of them. I haven't detected any "offensive" odors anywhere in the facility. According to my wife, the food is okay, but not great. Hard to get creative in an institutional setting! Her main complaint is that they always run out of salad. Seems like that would be an easy fix. They make her bed every day, (the other places she was in didn't,) at least most of the time. She has a private room which though not large, is big enough to get her queen bed into, which makes her happy. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place for good care and a clean, basic facility.

Terrible Parking Situation
reviewed on: 09/30/2013 by Mike HardyThis was one we didn't care for. The parking is terrible there and at the time we were contemplating my parents having a car. It's a little parking lot a ways away from the building. I don't know if there were other entrances to the facility from the parking lot. It didn't appear to me that there were.
Dirty carpets and undesired food choices
reviewed on: 11/27/2014 by AnonymousThey were giving us choices on food for a while but that did not last long. They serve all processed frozen meat. Really not healthy food full of salt not good for seniors. The cooks are like fry cooks in a coffee shop. They are now raising the rent over 40% on some residents. The carpets are dirty and full of germs and should be replaced with tile, wood, or linoleum. They only clean room carpet or change when someone moves out. Only two staff on during night and do not respond fast due to the number of renters.
Horrible
