reviewed on: 12/27/2018 by Jeff MannI have had many life changing events in this year, 2018. One that tops the list is seeing my mother in law so happy, healthy and full of renewed zest for life. In January she moved into an apartment at The Manor of Ojai Valley. She entered after having serious health issues and I was told she needed 24 hr Assisted Care. She was fearful, weak and depressed at that time. But... In just a few days! I knew the right decision was made by moving her to the Manor. She chose to take all her beloved furniture, paintings, etc. which makes it her new home. She is eating home made healthy food with new friends in a safe atmosphere full of caring people. There are so many activities, entertainment and even a beauty shop. A local doctor ( my own podiatrist) comes to care for everyone's feet and nails. As the seasons change so do the decorations. Never gets boring there! I now know my Mom in law is happy and will always be taken care of. The staff, Faby, Elvira, Anna & Mary are very loving and caring. Anna cooked a magnificent Holiday feast and Halina invited all the families. 5 stars for The Manor! - Jeff

She needed a higher level of care than what was being provided by an in-home care giver so she moved into the Manor. The facility provides a clean, peaceful, home like atmosphere at a reasonable cost, while providing the 24 hour services she was unable to obtain at home. The staff is friendly and caring providing delicious home cook meals three times a day (plus snacks my Aunt loves). The activities are engaging and fun! Aunt Betty loves the games and crafts. I would recommend the Manor of Ojai to anyone who needs a loving, caring atmosphere for a friend or loved one in need of 24 hours services.
