getting better
reviewed on: 11/12/2015 by AnonymousThe only thing I can think of is they need 1 contact person for everything. It's getting better there. They will notify you when things happen.
A Great Value That Should Get Even Better
reviewed on: 11/11/2018 by AkvavitCAPlaza Village is an excellent value in Senior Care. The accommodations are Suite Style, as the building was originally built as condominiums. Three or Four bedroom units share a living room and a full kitchen. Master Bedroom is double occupancy and shares a large Master Bath, Smaller bedrooms are private and may or may not share a bath. The staff are very caring. Response time is sometimes slow. The range of activities is limited due to the small size of the facility, but the Activities Director is wonderful and works hard to get residents participating and engaged. The biggest drawback, as in most places, is the food. Again the size of the facility is the limiting factor. Currently the main meal is at noon with a small supper. One entry choice with an alternate plus some unlisted salads, etc. The underground parking garage gives off-street, free parking for outside care services and family. The facility has changed the ownership team and there are plans for changes and improvements, but these take time. The Director is available and attentive to concerns. Overall, this was a good change for my mom and our family.
Good Fit
reviewed on: 09/24/2013 by DaughterI think overall they're very good. I think it's been a good fit for my mom. What they offer, for the price, is extremely reasonable. My mom is adjusting pretty well. She seems to enjoy the food. I know she's played bingo and they have some exercise groups and sing-a-longs. I think that's one area that could use a little improvement, just adding more activities.
Not Impressed
reviewed on: 11/20/2013 by DaughterI was not impressed with the facility. The lady even told me it was a converted condominium project. They had no outside gardens. I just didn't like it. A friend of mine had her mother in there and she moved out within two months so that wasn't a good sign. They were very straightforward with me thought and they were the most inexpensive of all the places I saw.
