Happy daughter
reviewed on: 07/29/2020 by BevMy mother and father moved into Sequoia Springs the summer of 2016. My father passed away in January 2017, and my mom continues to live there today. She is happy, content, and feels very secure in her living environment. Though she sometimes complains about the meals, this would happen wherever she was living. I live just down the street and was able to visit her 3 or 4 times a week until this March, when the facility locked down because of COVID. It has been such a relief that they have taken such great care of everyone during this health crisis. The facility offers many activities, though my mother doesn’t often join in. She is content, happy and well looked after.
thank you
reviewed on: 06/13/2019 by Darla McGrathBecause of the staff, from management to care givers my mother's passing was beautiful and peaceful. They walked me through the process and were so respectful of my mother and the family that they became family. They are so kind, so caring and so loving. It brought me to tears to see how they took care of her. Always talking to her and telling her what they were going to do even though nobody really knows if they can hear...well let me tell you ...they can hear to the end. Thank you so much for letting my mom "come home under hospice". You are all a blessing and i will never forget, no matter where my life takes me you will always be a part of her passing.
So grateful for the amazing care
reviewed on: 07/28/2020 by PattiMy mom has lived in Sequoia Springs for over a year. The transition from her home of 57 years to a whole new town and a new living situation was really hard for her. She suffers from cognitive impairment, so it was even more distressing and confusing for her. From the moment she moved in, every staff member took her under their wings. They are compassionate, caring people. I was allowed to spend several night there with her, in order to help her feel safe. The staff invited her to functions, and introduced her to ladies that she now calls her friends. Everyone there knows her name and treat her with kindness and respect. As her cognition continues to change, they help me understand what's going on and help me plan for future changes. Now that we are living through this virus nightmare and we are unable to enter the facility to visit, the staff have made all kinds of arrangements so that I can still safely see my mom without endangering anyone. They are so kind and loving and they regularly monitor her health and well being. I know my mom is very safe there, and I truly do not worry at all. Regarding pricing; I had checked into other facilities and Sequoia Springs is well within a reasonable price. In fact, the cost is below that of facilities in larger cities. There are no surprise fees. The facility is very clean and nice and they have exercise classes, interesting speakers and activities, and even a happy hour. I personally could not be happier with the decision to move my mom here. Although she would rather be at her own home, she recognizes that she is safer here, and she has adjusted. I am truly grateful.
Sequoia's close knit environment was great!
reviewed on: 08/01/2020 by KatherineMy mother only was here a relatively short time but Sequoia Springs worked very hard to make her stay here comfortable and welcoming. From introducing her to other residents, to helping with a hospital release, and making her comfortable in her final days, they were part of her advocacy team. We had another parent in another well-known larger facility and Sequoia's individualized approach was a big plus. There's a lot to be said for smaller facility where everyone knows everyone, residents and staff alike. I highly recommend Sequoia.
Excellent Facility!!
reviewed on: 03/13/2017 by AnonymousMy dad seems to be very happy and comfortable in his new living environment. This is truly an excellent facility with lots of great amenities available to all of the residents. He has a lot of privacy with his apartment, there is a personal bathroom for him as well as a television which he really likes. The only complaint he seems to have is they do not have very much variety with there food selection. My dad says they serve a lot of fish and he is not the biggest fan of that. Other than that its been a pleasant experience so far.
