Comfort CARE is what we Wanted and What we receive for MOM
reviewed on: 10/26/2015 by DoryMy mom has been in this home since March. Her room is clean, the staff is very kind to her. I am speaking from my own experience. My mom has dementia and we never wanted to see her in a home. But life throws curve balls and she needs 100% care when it comes to daily cleaning care. My family hired a daycare person to be with my mom 6 hours a day. This has helped monitor her care, and... she does not want to meet, sit, or join in activities. I have watched others sit together out in the TV room, kitchen area, etc. The staff is hard working and we have had NO issues concerning my moms care. It is a comfort care home, no RN's on site. The staff tries their best. I see my mom 5-6 nights a week, and take her special dinners so we can be together. I take her for walks, and chat with her as much as I can. This is a "care" home. They do what we need, and if family is around, we make her time more precious. She wants NO meds, NO doctors, NO new friends. My mom has always loved her family, and that is what she wants. After all the years of giving, we have made her life as comfortable as possible. The employees in this home have given her comfortable personal care, which includes getting her up and making her come out to the kitchen area to eat. If she had her way, she would stay in bed day and night. Again, we are happy with the staff, and I am happy that I can be there for my mom with all the extra "family" care.

reviewed on: 12/30/2012 by A Place For Mom CustomerThe facility seemed clen, but was overly hot. Easy parking with handicap parking. Staff was very friendly. RN is on site at all times. Currently, 13 residents; usual max is 16, but can be 21. Shared room/closet. Shared bathroom for two rooms/4 people. Have scheduled activities in the activity room. Lunch room with cook, who will cook something special. Multiple menu options for meals, which is served at specific times. Nice patio. Three caregivers live in, but are relieved for other shifts. Rooms are alarmed and has wander alarm on doors. One shower room - residents get showers twice a week.
Nice People, Horrible Furniture
reviewed on: 08/26/2013 by HeidiThe people were as sweet as can be but the furniture was broken, tattered and dirty. It was just awful.
