Community Reviews
Excellent facility!
reviewed on: 12/14/2017 by AnonymousThis is a very nice community but it is also very expensive. All of the staff members here were nice and friendly. The community does offer a lot of activities and they have a big theater room to watch movies in. What I really like is that the facility offers a range of living options including condos, small houses, and apartments. It’s a beautiful place and all of the residents are happy here and are welcoming. Also, I’ve eaten here and the food was very good. I would recommend this community to other families.
Unwanted
reviewed on: 09/13/2020 by AnonymousMy wife and I decided that we would retire to Arizona from Washington State. After doing our research of a few Retirement Communities, we were almost certain that Royal Oaks Sun City was the place for us. We called and set an appointment with Stephen and Janet. They requested our financial information and were eager to show us around. We arrived and the place was very nice, clean, inviting. I am White (a Journalist) and my wife is half African American (a Doctor). Everywhere we toured, all residents were White (ALL). The interview and tour was mostly addressed towards me and not my wife. It was very uncomfortable and she felt very out of place and unwanted. Needless to say, we left and never returned. If this is the kind of environment you are looking for, that's definitely the place for you.
