Community Reviews
good for the most part
reviewed on: 04/07/2015 by AnonymousThey did a really good job meeting with us and taking the time to show us how things work and what to expect. However, once we got in the follow-up was not what it should have My mother-in-law can not see very well and they could accommodate her situation. For one, the activities are written down on a piece of paper that she can hardly read and she does not get the assistance she should to be able to know what's going on. Also, they have books to read, but no books on CD which would be good for her. There are a few things like that I feel they could do better to accommodate her situation. For the most part though it has been a good experience.
comfortable place, meal plan needs improvement
reviewed on: 07/17/2015 by AnonymousThey have done a good job in making it as comfortable and homey as possible. In terms of areas they can improve, they have changed the residents meal time (dinner has to be over by 3:00pm on Saturday and Sunday) which I am not too happy about that. It is still new, and my parents have good days and bad days, and are still learning their way around and getting used to it.
Bad smell!
reviewed on: 01/11/2017 by AnonymousWhen we toured the Brookdale, I couldn't help but notice the strong smell of urine. Also, when they took us into the apartments it was stale and smelled like a smoker had lived there before. It was just not visually appealing but the people were very friendly.
Very happy!!
reviewed on: 07/15/2015 by KimMom has been here almost 2 weeks now. She was living independently prior to the strokes, so she's still adjusting to life in assisted living. The staff are wonderful - nursing and activities folks are very helpful and I think go above and beyond quite often. Maintenance and the business office are easy to deal with and things get resolved quickly. The few minor things I've had to get sorted out have been done quickly and easily. The facility is always clean and I have no concerns whatsoever.
Good Community
