Review of Desert Winds Assisted Living & Memory Care
reviewed on: 11/28/2019 by Daniel E LyonsI would rate this facility average at best. About 60% of the caregivers are on the ball, the rest are questionable. The care given isn't up to par with what we were told during the introduction regarding the services that would be provided. Also, things just seem to disappear from the resident's rooms. The facility also needs some physical upgrades. Carpeting stained and flooring loose in dining room. The staff, or administrators of the facility, do a very good job with what they have to work with. They always respond to our concerns and requests very promptly. [Name removed] and [name removed] are excellent people in their respective positions. Also [name removed] at the reception desk.
Not our favorite!
reviewed on: 05/12/2017 by AnonymousMy husband and I toured Desert Winds Assisted Living during our search. The people there were friendly and answered our questions, but we did not like the fact that it was 2 stories and no elevator.
Peace of mind!!
reviewed on: 03/02/2018 by Rita SmithMy 96 year old mother resides at Desert Winds Assisted living. The staff has been wonderful from the director to the staff that cleans and does laundry. The front desk staff is always helpful and so caring. Any questions can be answered by Erin the sales manager, she goes above and beyond. The nursing staff is very compassionate and works with residents doctors. The atmosphere there is nurturing. Mom’s memory is slipping; the staff will go and get her to participate in activities. I have great peace of mind knowing Mom is in such a caring palace.

reviewed on: 12/03/2019 by CandaceMy mom has been here for almost 2 years. In that time, there have been 3 Directors, 3-4 head nurses and 3-4 Market Directors. The turnover has been a concern. Elderly people do not do well with change. The instability is a problem. Not sure why their staff keeps leaving. We have to stay on top of everything. Thank god my mom has us!
