Community Reviews
My mom loves it there, and they treat her with respect.
reviewed on: 04/19/2016 by AnonymousI consider them a very high five. My mom loves it there, and they treat her with respect. She is having a lot of fun. They made the transition very easy for her. She really likes the facilities, and the way they cater to her beliefs, as it is religious based. This was hands down our first choice, we knew when we walked in that it was right for us.
a few things to improve
reviewed on: 11/18/2014 by AnonymousWe're kind of new there and are still struggling to get settled in and fully transitioned. It seems like there's some things they could have done to make it a little easier. It would have been nice if they did a little more welcoming, showing her around the place, making her feel at home, etc. Otherwise though, the place is very clean and the staff is very friendly, there have just been a few small issues like those mentioned above.
were told what we wanted to hear
reviewed on: 10/29/2015 by AnonymousSome of the staff at Somerset Lodge were much more attentive than others. A lot of them were good but some were not. When we first moved my grandma there we were told this would be her last move. Then grandma got to where she would not be be able to eat on her own and we had to move her out. I think we were told what we wanted to hear just to get her moved in there. I was pretty upset about that. The call bell sometimes took 5-30 minutes for anyone to attend to her. She fell in the middle of the night and it took them a while to get there. They were definitely under staffed. I don't want to give all negative feedback because there was some good there too.
