Community Reviews
Friendly staff
reviewed on: 07/29/2013 by No Independent LivingThe staff was very nice and helpful here. They do not offer independent living, only assisted living. They were very nice in talking with me, but the residents here were in need of more care than what we were looking for.
We liked this community from the first visit
reviewed on: 05/11/2017 by AnonymousI liked that when we first visited this community they took us around and introduced us to the entire staff. They explained everything and helped walk me through what to expect. The staff are great with my brother in law. They are always there to help. The administrators are doing a good job. He loves the food and the community is very clean. He likes to play bingo and enjoys movie nights. I would recommend this community.
Best place for your loved one
reviewed on: 09/04/2020 by Paula AWe chose this community because of the director, he went above and beyond in helping to facilitate my mom being moved from one location to another. it is a welcoming place, very bright, open, and friendly. The room sizes are on average compared to other facilities we saw. They had additional closet space and bathroom that are very generous. My mom LOVES the food here. They have a menu with a big variety of foods, all the foods are fresher and its made right in front of you. My favorite part about the facility would be the staff members. They are all unbelievably nice. They are able to do a lot of fun activities even since COVID. They have not had any cases of COVID. The director has conference calls every Tuesday and Thursday ever since COVID started so we get updates on the state as well as what is happening inside the facility and how everyone is doing. They also have set up zoom if you want to visit with you loved ones as well as window visits and drive by parades while the residents sit outside. Communication has been amazing, they are very receptive and answer quickly. I would highly recommend Elderwood Village at Fairpoint.
Really Good Food, Some Housekeeping Issues
reviewed on: 08/20/2013 by BrendaI guess the only thing that we really don't like is that it seems to be a huge problem to get clean towels. They're not very good about picking up wet towels. They might sit there for a couple of days and there's not a place for me to take them either. They said someone would come everyday to make my mother's bed and they don't really do that so it's just some housekeeping things that kind of bug us. On the other hand, the people are really good and attentive to her and that's the most important thing. Besides your monthly rent they charge you a level of care fee and that's been a little iffy. My dad has been eating all his meals there for $500 a month which is great because he doesn't know how to cook. The food is really, really good an they're both gaining weight.
They run a nice place!
reviewed on: 12/01/2016 by AnonymousThe staff are pleasant, receptive and helpful. Mom enjoys the dining staff and the medication technicians. The food is good, however it seemed a little salty. They offer daily activities. The activities director is nice and good at encouraging the residents to participate in them. The community is clean and I would recommend this community.
